Yaram Yahu
Bio
I’m a starred review, traditionally published, Big 5 author (Hachette). My professional reviews include journals such as Booklist and School Library Journal (SLJ).
I have over 15 years of writing experience, and I have over 10 years of professional publishing and editorial experience.
My traditionally published book is entitled My Afro Is a Rising Sun. Editorially, I served as an editorial assistant at Beacon Press, a memoir and nonfiction publisher who is distributed with Penguin Random House. During my time there, I’ve assisted in editing titles such as Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz’s An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States (New York Times Bestseller & American Book Award Recipient), Daisy Hernández’s memoir A Cup of Water Under My Bed, and Amy Jo Burns’ memoir Cinderland. I’m also a ghostwriter, editor, and cultural accuracy/sensitivity editor at Kevin Anderson & Associates and Gotham Ghostwriters.
I’d love to help you edit, ghostwrite, or brainstorm your next book idea! My passion is helping authors tell their stories in the most unique and authentic way possible. While I’m open to most genres and age categories, I specialize primarily in children’s books of all genres (picture books, middle grade, and young adult), Southern fiction, diverse voices, memoirs, and nonfiction. I also love writing adult genres such as romance and science fiction/fantasy.
When you book me, I will also include FREE editorial evaluation of every ghostwriting project you book, FREE advice on how to navigate your next steps in publishing (including indie, hybrid, and traditional publishing), and should you decide to traditionally publish, I will also include FREE submission package materials such as a query letter and synopsis.
You have a story to tell, so let’s discuss your next project together and make your publishing dream a reality!
