Bio

Curious, Collaborative, Can-Do Ghostwriter

I’m a seasoned writer and editor with 25+ years of experience and a background in journalism. I spent half of my 15+ years in newsrooms in the Seattle bureau of The Associated Press, where my beats included business, the environment, and politics. I’ve ghostwritten dozens of articles, speeches, and other short-form narratives for business and nonprofit leaders since founding my freelance writing business in 2013.

My book ghostwriting specialties: thought leadership, memoir, and corporate history. I wrote Running Through the First 100 Years, a colorful corporate history of Brooks Running Company, in 2014. Most recently, I ghostwrote Game Changer: An Insider’s Story of the Sonics’ Resurgence, the Trail Blazers’ Turnaround, and the Deal that Saved the Seahawks with author Bob Whitsitt, about his decades of running three of the Pacific Northwest’s iconic pro sports teams.

My favorite moment with any ghostwriting project is when a client tells me, “Wow! This sounds just like me! Only better!” I’ve always loved writing, but there’s something extra rewarding about working closely with someone who has a great story to tell, but lacks the time, writing skill, or confidence in their own voice to write the story, themselves.

Regardless of where you are with your book — a foggy idea, a notebook full of bullet points, the messy middle of a manuscript — I’ll work with you to map out a game plan for getting your great story out of your head and onto the page, in words that sound just like you. Only better!
