Christina Schweighofer
Bio
I specialize in writing memoirs for successful entrepreneurs. Among the titles that I helped publish are “Bootstrap Entrepreneur” by John Miller and “Messed Up Like You” by Rick Culleton. Both are available on Amazon.
My background is in journalism. I began my career as an on-staff reporter at Die Presse, the leading quality newspaper in Austria. During eight years at the publication, I worked on the national and international desks. I edited the book review section for three years. After leaving Die Presse, I continued to work for the newspaper as a freelance journalist based first in Prague and then in Los Angeles.
Among the hundreds of stories that I wrote for newspapers and university publications are my conversations with John Irving and fellow Austrian ex-pat Wolfgang Puck. I interviewed party leaders, ministers, high-profile lawyers, athletes, authors, and artists and wrote dozens of personality profiles. The list of people whom I profiled includes Randol Schoenberg, the attorney of “Woman in Gold” movie fame; Olympic champion Inger Miller; Sheryl Gordon McCloud, a judge on the Washington State Supreme Court; Jean Rosenbluth, a magistrate judge in Los Angeles; and the internationally acclaimed Austrian illustrator Lisbeth Zwerger.
I live in Pasadena, California, enjoy long-distance walking, live theatre, poetry, and road trips.
One of my profiles and two of my feature stories won Los Angeles Press Club awards.
Upon request, I can provide references from ghostwriting clients.
