Ryan Dempsey

In 2016, Ryan co-authored his first New York Times Best Seller, OpTic Gaming: The Making of eSports Champions. The project has since been optioned for film and television development. He then worked with controversial former NBA basketball player Metta World Peace to co-author his 2018 memoir, No Malice.

Ryan has since ghostwritten and collaborated on over 25 published books. His titles cover a variety of topics including business, finance, self-help, health and fitness, marketing, and leadership. He continues to work with celebrities, athletes, business professionals, thought leaders, and social media influencers who want to bring their stories to the page. He’s worked with traditional publishers, hybrid publishers, and helped authors navigate the self-publishing space. He helps authors to craft book proposals and offers coaching services for those who want to do the bulk of the writing themselves.

Ryan began his writing career working as a freelance journalist for various newspapers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts covering sports, local politics, and human-interest stories. Having always been drawn to the world of film and television, he then moved to Los Angeles to earn his MFA in screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University. After graduation, he worked extensively in the film and television industry for over a decade before focusing primarily on ghostwriting.
