Bio

Susan D. Brandenburg is an award-winning biographer with more than four decades of experience. She is President of Susan the Scribe Publishing, a member of the Florida Writers Association, a board member of the National League of American Pen Women, Stetson Kennedy Foundation and The Carpenter’s Shop Center.  Chosen to be a Woman with Heart by Volunteers in Medicine in 2024, Susan had the privilege of writing the first article about this worthwhile organization.

Susan’s has written the biographies/memoirs of many local luminaries, including Carlton Spence, W. Scott McLucas, Marilyn Peyton, Drs. Gaston & Maria Victoria Acosta-Rua, Gwen and Alton Yates, Jimmy Stockton, Bess Turk, Jennie Guth, Jane Condon, John R. Forbes, and Major General Gerald Stack Maloney, as well as historical memoirs of Rodeheaver Boys Ranch, Smoak, Davis & Nixon, and The Honorable Company of Past Chairmen (TPC Redcoats).  Susan is currently working on the Centennial Celebration Book of the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and the 40th Anniversary book of BEAM (Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry).
