Nancy Wikarski

Bio

I’m a fugitive from academia. After earning my PhD in English Literature from the University of Chicago, I spent 20 years in the business world, working for Fortune 500 companies. After that, I spent another two decades developing my skills as a ghostwriter, fiction author, and indie publisher.

On the ghostwriting front, I’m now a seasoned professional specializing in nonfiction, book-length projects. I’ve written about subjects as diverse as the mechanics of research grant funding, a deep dive into an American artist’s work, an entrepreneur’s life lessons, an international vegan cookbook, health advice on increasing longevity, a military veteran’s memoir, a road trip exploring musicians’ lives in the Southern U.S., a survey of self-help techniques, guidance for IT business analysts, and a travelogue through small-town America.

These days, I focus on family legacy books, personal memoirs, founder biographies, and company branding, but I’m open to tackling any nonfiction topic. Other than my nonfiction projects, I’m also an award-winning, bestselling author of three historical mystery series that feature archaeological puzzles, astronomical riddles, and secret societies engaged in high-stakes adventures around the globe.

In addition to my affiliation with the Association of Ghostwriters, I’m a member of Mystery Writers of America (MWA), the Society of Midland Authors (SMA), Sisters in Crime (SinC), the Midwest Independent Publishers Association (MIPA), the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), and American Mensa.

If you find my skills to be a good fit for the project you have in mind, I’d be happy to help you turn your ideas into the book you’ve always wanted to write.
