Emily Liao

Bio

Emily Liao is a professional memoirist, ghostwriter, and collaborator who helps remarkable people tell remarkable stories. After gaining a first-class law degree from Durham University and working at an AI startup, she moved into ghostwriting, and has since ghostwritten, edited and consulted on more than ten memoirs and business books for clients across four continents. Drawn to stories of entrepreneurial triumph, creative resilience, and cultural intersections, she believes that writing should be frictionless, accessible, and, above all, generous.

While based in the UK, Emily has spent the past few years living out of a suitcase and travelling the world, with favourite destinations including Tokyo, Paris and Lisbon. Her work, travels and background as a third culture kid have given her a strong interest in cultural intersections and perspectives. Away from her desk, she enjoys learning French, Mandarin, and Japanese, and developing her practice as a yoga teacher.
