Bio

Brunella Costagliola is a bestselling ghostwriter and editor, award-winning author, journalist, and translator with over twelve years in publishing. She is the founder of The Military Editor® Agency, LLC, a boutique ghostwriting and editing firm recognized by Forbes NEXT1000 that serves military authors and military-related manuscripts. Brunella has worked with celebrities, CIA officers, NBA athletes, Disney Imagineers, Gold Star families, and other extraordinary clients.

She is the Associate Producer of the award-winning documentary Potentially Dangerous: When It Was a Crime to Be Italian, executive produced by John Turturro, which explores the persecution of Italian Americans during WWII. Many of the books she has ghostwritten or edited have become bestsellers, award-winners, and critically acclaimed. A passionate advocate for authentic cultural representation, she works as a Cultural Accuracy Reader and supports Multicultural Children’s Books Day and We Need Diverse Books.

Brunella holds two master’s degrees from Leiden University in American History and Literature, a Certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago, and a Certificate in English Language Teaching from Cambridge University. She is the author of the bestselling children’s series A Stroke of Magic, a polyglot (English, Italian, Spanish, Japanese), and a lifelong traveler. Born in Bacoli, Italy, she is a proud military spouse, mother of two, and holds dual citizenship in the USA and Italy.
