Bio

Hi, I’m Alison! I combine storytelling with strategy to help individuals and organizations boost their brands. I especially enjoy the challenge of taking complex topics and distilling them into engaging communications, frequently working in highly regulated fields like pharma, finance, and tech.

A communications professional with nearly 15 years of experience, I got my start as an international journalist in Berlin, Germany, before transitioning to the communications side of the media industry. After a stint at Booking.com, I took a role as the communications and media relations manager for EFPIA, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations, in Brussels, Belgium.

In 2015, I founded my own firm, ASK Communications, with a focus on ghostwriting for time-strapped executives and entrepreneurs. Since then, I’ve worked on 30+ manuscripts, including multiple award winners and Amazon bestsellers. I regularly collaborate with high-profile publishers like Forbes Books and am signed with two premier ghostwriting talent agencies, Kevin Anderson & Associates (U.S.) and The Ghostwriter’s Agency (U.K.).​

I’m a graduate of Georgetown University’s Certificate in Professional Writing, and also hold a B.A. in English/Cultural Studies from McGill University and an M.A. in Comparative Literature from the Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany. As a former literature student, I’m a bit of a bookworm and when I’m not writing, I’m usually reading. Suffice to say, I love a good story!
