Albo Devine — recognized only by his trademark mustache and Al The Ghost moniker — specializes in stories with an international angle: mostly memoir, fiction, and screenplays. A globetrotting multi-linguist — conversational in Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese — Al is a genuine ghostwriter for stories in the age of the global citizen and a proud member of the Millennial generation. After nearly a decade working as a journalist in an increasingly post-fact world from Spain to Brazil to China, Al had a realization. He read a novel featuring a protagonist who wrote obituaries for a living. It was a fascinating tale, recounting the lives of interesting women and men who had passed away. As much as he loved the story, Al was saddened. "If only those people could have shared those stories while they were still alive," he thought. "If only the protagonist gave them their flowers when they could smell them." Not long afterward, Al was asked by a diplomat during an interview to help write her memoir. Almost overnight, he watched his ego disappear along with his byline. The vanishing act allowed Al to do his best work: putting himself last and the needs of his clients — the true authors — first. Based in Los Angeles, Al counts himself among the precious few Millennial ghostwriters ushering the publishing business into a world without digital or physical borders. He’s guided his clients to traditional, self, and hybrid publishers, all while keeping every client relationship 100% confidential. He’s worked with billionaires and blue-collar workers, entertainers and entrepreneurs across five continents but refuses to take credit on any project. Howdy, folks! I am a Dallas-based freelance writer and ghostwriter.

A bit about me: I graduated with a BA from Rice University with honors. Then, I earned my Master of Library and Information Science, where I learned how to conduct thorough research. I was an academic librarian for several years before I transitioned to freelancing full time. What sets me apart from other ghostwriters is my research capabilities and ability to ask deep, meaningful questions that allow you to form your core message to readers.

In addition, I have written over fifteen fiction and nonfiction books, and my previous clients include film producers, doctors, and a USA Today Bestselling Author. These projects taught me how to describe facts as a compulsively readable narrative. (If you need someone who can raise a reader’s heart rate, what better person than someone who has written thrillers?)

My articles have been printed features in Texas Highways, Texas Co-op Power, Texas Parks and Wildlife, The Texas Observer, Swimmer Magazine, and many others.

Check out my stellar client reviews:

"Fast and very to the point! Ariel helped me complete my new best seller, "WHO AM I" The Chad Gaines Story. They are now, turning my book into a movie based on my life story. Ariel took the time to ask the right questions and details of my life story. I would highly recommend her to anyone." --Chad Gaines, Ten Outstanding Young Americans (TOYA) Award Recipient

"I had a wonderful experience working with Ariel. She is a talented writer. She is communicative, pleasant, meets deadlines, and produces a fantastic product. I highly recommend Ariel and would love to work with her again."--Jeri White, USA Today Bestselling Author

"She was an absolute delight to work with. She met deadlines and was an extremely talented writer. I would definitely recommend working with her on projects. She’s also a very pleasant and honest and fair person. I had a great experience working with Ariel."--Jeff Rivera, Collective 5 Entertainment

My professional and academic careers have led me to helping people tell their stories, especially as relates to crisis, collaborating with them to tell stories about adversity overcome and lessons learned. The root of all my writing has been telling stories of how people made viable their lives' purpose in the face of constant change. I've helped them make sense of their experiences and then craft those accounts in a way that can assist others. In over 30 years of writing and editing, whether they are top executives, workers on the front lines, your nextdoor neighbor, scholars, or the person who delivers the mail to you every day, I have helped each tell their stories.

Helping people tell their stories in long-form formats is my passion; I enjoy discerning an author's voice and helping them put their accounts down in book-length form.

I am a professor of public relations at CU-Boulder, in my 17th year in academe.  Previously, I had 15 years experience in professional public relations.

Hi authors!

Are you looking for a big finance, business, leadership or entrepreneurship dork? That's me!

I've been writing business books for about 15 years, and was a staff business journalist for 12 years. Most recently, I've had two of my authors' books become Amazon bestsellers–check out Retirement Money Secrets and Twelve Skills: The guide to becoming a stronger leader and accelerating your career on Amazon for examples of my work.

My extensive reporting experience for Entrepreneur and Forbes inform my business book writing. I have two traditional print titles, one ghostwritten (How They Started: How 30 Good Ideas Became Great Businesses) and one bylined (The Pocket Small Business Owner's Guide to Starting Your Business on a Shoestring). I also wrote a 100-page bylined ebook for a Shopify company, Crowdfunding for Entrepreneurs.

My secret sauce? I've been an entrepreneur myself–I built and sold an online platform that helps freelance writers earn more, Freelance Writers Den (founded 2012). So I get the stresses of making payroll and fixing planes while flying them. I wrote more than a dozen ebooks as lead-generation pieces that helped build that business–so I also do some book-marketing consulting on what works and doesn't. Since selling my biz in '20, I've ghostwritten 10 titles.

Thinking of a memoir (or one that also unpacks business lessons)? I just ghostwrote my first one, loved it, and can't wait to do more.

Curious how the ghostwriter-author relationship works? Grab a free copy of my ebook How to Hire a Book Ghostwriter.

Then, if you'd like to hop on a Zoom and see if we're a fit to work together, email me at carol@caroltice.com and let's set up a time.

May your book become a reality and change the world for the better --

Carol

Charlotte found her calling at age eight when a teacher labeled her a born writer, then misplaced it upon motherhood. As a journalist, she reported facts vs. fake news. At thirty-eight, she shredded the dystopian novel she wrote when she was still wide-eyed. After stints in marketing and financial planning, she rediscovered her gusto ghostwriting for the time-deprived and collaborating with authors whose flow hit a log jam. Her addiction to words that inspire, empower, enlighten, and entertain is eclipsed only by her passion for precipitous canyons and the magic of tide pools. I am a medical, health and wellness ghostwriter and part-time health coach. I have been writing professionally for 14 years and researching and writing about medicine for nearly two decades. I delight in helping doctors and other wellness professionals to fulfill their dream of sharing their work and expertise with the world through the written word.

My portfolio includes 19 health and wellness-related books, 8 of which I ghostwrote and the remainder of which I either authored or co-authored.  Topics I have written about include: integrative medical solutions for cancer, Lyme disease, environmental illness, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, and insomnia; as well as nutrition and spiritual wellness. In addition, I recently self-published a personal memoir entitled, Encounters with My Beloved in Heaven in honor of my late husband who passed away in 2020.

One of my ghostwritten books was published by a large trade publisher (Da Capo Lifelong Books), while most of the others were published by small or independent presses. Two of my recent ghostwritten books, including The Cancer Revolution and Hope for Cancer: 7 Principles to Remove Fear and Empower your Healing Journey have received five-star ratings on Amazon, while my own recent books, such as  New Paradigms in Lyme Disease Treatment have averaged 4.5-star ratings.

My writing experience also includes a position as former Editor of the Alternative Cancer Research Institute (ACRI) (2011-2018) and Pro Health's Lyme disease website (2016-2019), where I regularly contributed original research and wrote articles on cancer and Lyme disease. I also hosted monthly podcasts for ACRI, in which I interviewed a total of over 100 integrative/holistic cancer doctors.

Over the years, I have also edited several medical books for BioMed Publishing Group.

Prior to writing professionally, I authored a number of short travel narratives in which I shared about my cultural experiences in over 50 nations worldwide. I also wrote a Christian fiction novel which garnered the attention of a large Christian publisher (River Oak) but which ultimately, I did not publish.

My passion is to help others to be healed and whole: in spirit, soul and body, by sharing the work of brilliant medical professionals, health gurus and evangelical Christian thought leaders through books, blogs, articles and other media.

I have the WRITE way to make you look brilliant.

I'm not your average writer. I mean, I AM a ghostwriter after all. But don't worry, I won't spook you too much. In fact, I'm here to help take your book from meh to mesmerizing with developmental editing, such as:

  • Outlines of books before they are written to ensure there are no plot holes or sinkholes or any other holes except those pertinent to the story. After all, "Holes" worked very well for its writer, Louis Sacher.
  • Line edits with comments for all changes needed to ensure your book is as captivating and as memorable…or as haunting… as it can be.
  • Developmental editing with ghostwriting by revising or rewriting the manuscript as needed.

Regarding developmental edits, I am great at going through things with clients…because ghosts are always going through things.

I also help will all aspects of self-publishing. I have self-published over 40 books in my name. I include self-publishing help and consultations with all my packages, for both ghostwriting and developmental editing.

I will also be glad to ghostwrite your book. I have ghostwritten 8 books for clients and written over 40 published books under my own name.  I've worked with 5 different publishers. I wrote books for traditional publishers for 16 years. I’ve had over 30 books published among the 5 publishers I worked with.

Awe Struck EBooks 01/2001 - 09/2009

L & L Dreamspell 01/2009 - 07/2013

Eternal Press 03/2009 - 10/2016

Lyrical Press 08/2009 - 02/2013 (part of Dorchester)

Ellora’s Cave 02/2012 – 12/2016

I then got rights back for all my books and Indie published 40+ books.

Trust me, I've been haunting the publishing industry for years.

My ghostwriting specialty is memoirs and fictionalized biographies especially if they are inspirational in any way, because as a ghost…I do like to write things that will lift your Spirits.

My developmental editing specialty is the same as above as well as Romance (all sub-genres) Fantasy, and Sci-fi.

So, let me help you bring your book to life. Contact me for samples and pricing, or just to hear some bad ghostwriting jokes. Trust me, they're hauntingly hilarious.

Hi, there! I’m Cyn, ghostwriter, writing coach, and fiction fanatic.

My entire business is making up stories. It’s what I live for, what I think about 24/7, and what wakes me up every morning, excited to get to work! In short, I LOVE WRITING NOVELS!

Since 2009, I've released 11 YA novels with major publishers (Random House, Harlequin, and Sourcebooks), and I've ghostwritten over 100 of them, in all genres, for both children and adults.

Ghostwriting with me is a unique experience. I believe that writing a novel should be fun and creative, so I don’t take myself too seriously. I do, however, take the process and deadlines VERY seriously, working toward one ultimate goal: Making your book the absolute best it can possibly be. I want our collaboration to put you at ease. I know that not every writer needs the same, cookie-cutter approach, so I’m flexible and fun to work with, and never too busy to answer your questions. I also specialize in achieving YOUR voice, making this book unique yours. I’ll work with you at every stage of the process to make creating your vision as enjoyable as possible! I take on only 1-2 projects a month, and I only accept if I think I can do your work and your vision justice. That's what I strive to do every day-- to give my clients exactly what they want, when they need it. Contact me today to see how we can create something amazing together.
