Janis Guggenheim
I began as a journalist, writing a column for a newspaper, highlighting local industry. A position as the Chicago correspondent for two nationally distributed New York trade publications followed, along with freelance business writing. I have authored a novel and ghostwritten two nonfiction books. Online experience includes content for a foodcare website, book reviews, and public relations work.
I have been certified by Amherst Writers and Artists, and have an MA in Writers Workshop Leadership and in Grant Writing by Johnson Park Community College. My major was English at Northwestern University and the University of Ilinois, and I subsequently taught ESL at Oakton Community College.
